On the electromagnetic spectrum, UV light sits between visible light and X-rays. UV-C is a short wave type of UV light that kills or deactivates microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, moulds and other pathogens.

Research has found that UV-C degrades genetic material like DNA in the microorganisms so severely that microbes or viruses hit by the rays can’t multiply.

The average phone is crawling with more bacteria than a public bathroom. Think about it - that means you’re just as likely to get sick from your phone as from the door handles or sink handles in the shopping centre bathroom!  Also, your phone’s battery keeps it warm, and combine that with nice warm spots like your pocket, the bacteria multiply.

Simply place your phone in the sanitiser and, depending on the model you have:

a) Simply press the button once or twice, depending on the length of clean that you choose, or

b) it will just start up automatically!
